Study abroad proposals
LAS faculty who are planning or proposing a group study abroad program for students must obtain approval from their academic unit and the college before the proposal can be reviewed by the ISU Education Abroad Committee. In order to ensure careful and timely review of proposals by the college, LAS program leaders are asked to follow the procedures outlined below:
- Complete the Group Study Abroad Proposal.
- Provide a brief letter of endorsement from chair of the department/s or unit/s offering the program, or from another appropriate curriculum group. The letter should specifically address the academic rigor of the proposed program and qualifications of its leader/s.
- Attach a syllabus or syllabi for the proposed courses to be taken abroad.
- Submit all three items to Mercedes Serracin, by the deadlines indicated below.
